Engineering Physics is the motif of foundation course in Engineering. It basically covers the essential concept of Quantum Physics, Wave Optics, Theory of Solids, Laser Physics and Fiber Optics and Electrostatics which covers wide areas of Physics.
Fundamentals of Engineering Physics develop scientific approach for higher technical education which provides a platform for future technological advancement. For example, how Physics is essential in Civil Engineering. In Physics we study forces, harmonic vibrations and oscillations, elasticity, tension, tensile strength etc. which helps in calculations for designing and construction work. In the same manner Physics is useful in other verticals of Engineering. Some topics like strength of materials, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics etc. are the major part of Mechanical Engineering. The concept of spin in Physics is implemented as a direct application of spin speed on data storage in Computer Science and Technology. Physics develops the problem solving ability, logical and intellectual thinking. No other substitute is there for Physics to solve complex problems of Engineering. Physics is a multidisciplinary subject. We see many phenomena of Physics in our daily life.
“Quantum Physics teaches us that we can simultaneously exit in many places, under certain conditions”.
- Amit Ray
In all it is impossible to imagine a building without base and essentials of Physics works as a base of Engineering Building.
