Post Covid-19 Academic Behavior of Students

As the situation of the whole world has changed in the past two years due to Covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19 has not only attacked the health of the human being as well the mental peace and economic condition of one and all. It indirectly affected the social and academic behavior of students. In this pandemic, online teaching tool has become a great option for teaching and learning. As two sides of a coin, there are some disadvantages over many advantages of online teaching and learning tools. Initially, it was one-way communication which causes a lack of learning interest. It adversely affected the self-motivation of students, resulting in stress and anxiety for students. One major disadvantage was the lack of practical exposure, which created a loophole in technical education. Covid-19 pandemic has drastically changed the academic behavior of students. They feel much more comfortable in self-isolation. They start believing in online/open book exam systems due to which their behavior tended towards less learning. For overcoming this behavior of students we have to counsel them toward learning. Although this is one side of the coin, another side of Post Covid 19 is, that students' self-learning capabilities of student have improved. They are now able to find good resources and good online lectures. They are not dependent to one book or one teacher for their academic advancement. Keeping the demand of online things, the Government of India is also doing its part in a great manner. Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India has initiated the Virtual Lab Concept and they have developed many Virtual Labs, where students can perform their experiments virtually and can have the feel of real experiments. Now the concept of “Virtual Reality” has been introduced.
