Gravity of Physics in Engineering Domain

Engineering Physics is the motif of foundation course in Engineering. It basically covers the essential concept of Quantum Physics, Wave Optics, Theory of Solids, Laser Physics and Fiber Optics and Electrostatics which covers wide areas of Physics.

Fundamentals of Engineering Physics develop scientific approach for higher technical education which provides a platform for future technological advancement. For example, how Physics is essential in Civil Engineering. In Physics we study forces, harmonic vibrations and oscillations, elasticity, tension, tensile strength etc. which helps in calculations for designing and construction work. In the same manner Physics is useful in other verticals of Engineering. Some topics like strength of materials, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics etc. are the major part of Mechanical Engineering. The concept of spin in Physics is implemented as a direct application of spin speed on data storage in Computer Science and Technology. Physics develops the problem solving ability, logical and intellectual thinking. No other substitute is there for Physics to solve complex problems of Engineering. Physics is a multidisciplinary subject. We see many phenomena of Physics in our daily life.

Mechanical Engineering Is Omnipresent

From the beginning Mechanical Engineering is recognized as Evergreen branch of Engineering. During earlier years when only few Core Branches of Engineering are in field to the recent trend of new emerging branches Mechanical Engineering kept its position intact.

Even now as Mechanical engineering having its collaboration with other new emerging technologies, its scope got new dimensions in multidisciplinary fields like Mechatronics, Robotics, Medical Sciences, Aerospace, Marine, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Construction Field & many more.

The very first invention which gives new boost to Civilization is INVENTION OF WHEEL after which thing started moving fast & taken a new pace is probably done by a Mechanical Engineer. Through that starting invention of Bullock Cart now we are in the age of Bullet Trains &Self-driving Electronic Vehicles controlled through Artificial Intelligence.

If we look around us starting from our home the thing, we use a small thing like a Needle to the biggest thing owned by us an Automobile Vehicle is manufactured in an Industry & certainly a Mechanical Engineer is involved in its existence.

Even as a Consumer we can count enormous number of products used in our Kitchen which are processed in one or other Industry and then through a channel came up to us as final product for use.

Most of the essential products for living in our homes are coming through any Industry or the tools used to create them useful for us are manufactured in any Mechanical Machine or Mechanical Industry in which a MECHANICAL ENGINEER is involved.

So, it’s rightly said Mechanical Engineering is the most EVERGREEN BRANCH of Engineering & its Omnipresent.

What are Few Preventive Measures We Should Follow after Colleges Reopen in the Post COVID World?

COVID – 19 or Corona Virus changed our lives, habits, behavior, and lifestyle in almost every possible way. It changed our perspective towards ‘normal’ now we know a new normal. Talking about college going students, they have already witnessed much up and down starting from online classes to online exams. Students got bored of the online mode of education but accepted it as there was no other option available. The safety concerns were properly taken care of and we have to continue that in the post COVID world as well at least, for few years. Keeping in mind the danger and loss the pandemic brought we have to make sure that in the post COVID world we follow all the government health guidelines to keep the coming generation safe and us and healthy.

Precautions to take to avoid the spread and spurge of COVID-19 in colleges

According to the doctors if we follow certain rules, we will safeguard ourselves and help our nation in pushing the virus away. The following should be followed by all students, faculties, and the institutes, strictly to keep everyone safe.

Keep basic social distancing everywhere. Even in classrooms all the chairs and desks need to be placed at distances.

Smaller batches must be created to reduce mass gathering in common areas like mess, canteen, library, labs and others. Regulation of time and number of students should be closely monitored.

Mandatory use of masks and sanitizers for all.

Every entrance must have a sanitizing station to promote hand sanitization before entering.

Temperature of every visitor must be checked and monitored regularly and even mild symptoms must be treated with care.

Reporting of the person with mild symptoms should be carefully monitored and immediate actions to isolate them should be taken.

Regular awareness oration must be given to the students and staff to ensure that everyone is following the safety measure and precautions.

The common precaution and practices should be strictly imposed even after the vaccine’s arrival to prevent the transmission.
