Our Hon’ble Prime
Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, envisages a Digital India to bridge the digital
divide in our country and further promote digital literacy in order to make
development a comprehensive mass movement and put governance within everyone’s
reach in India. In order to work towards our PM’s vision, MHRD, All India
Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Inter Institutional Inclusive
Innovation Center (i4C), and Persistent Systems organized Smart India Hackathon
2017, a unique initiative to identify new and disruptive digital technology
innovations for solving the challenges faced by our country.
SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2018 AT SIRT BHOPAL |
Smart India Hackathon is a 36-hour non-stop software product development competition, where problems are posed to technology students for innovative solutions. It was the world biggest Hacakthon event. Students at different nodal centres in India solved the various problems statement given by various ministries of Govt. of India.
Sagar Institute of Research & Technology was the only nodal centre in Bhopal, conducted Smart India Hackathon 2017 with collaboration of MHRD, AICTE, Persistent. Almost 250 students of around 40 teams from various colleges including IIT’s and NIT’s participated in this event to create different App’s and Web Portal as a remedial solution for National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Ministry. Distinguished judges from different organization trained and judged all teams as per their own parameters. In between of event our Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modiji even addressed to all participants in his elegant manner through Video Conferencing.
